READINGS
I used to read a lot when I was younger, mostly comic books. But somewhere along the way (between engineering textbooks, building codes, design magazines and the Internet ) I lost touch. I completely stopped reading novels and comic books as there always seemed to be something more important or urgent to do and never enough time to sit down and read. The most I was reading were magazine articles, blog posts and random newspaper articles.
But lately I've been having these urges to learn more about various things and subsequently to read more. I also went through my bookshelves, finding books that I still didn't finish reading and others that I've been meaning to start reading but never got around to doing it. I've also been collecting suggestions from friends, family, podcasts, and TV shows and my "to read" list is getting a little long. Therefore, with a little inspiration from Kay and her 13 books in 2013 on Chronicled, I finally decided to also challenge myself to read more books. Mind you, I still don't have a lot of patience for walls of text, so some of these books will have to be audiobooks. It suits my multitasking personality to a T!
I also decided to keep track of my "to read" and my "read" lists of books and share them online. Since a lot of the suggestions I got came from the Internet, why not return the favour and maybe inspire someone else too? These lists, shown below, will evolve over time and I'll probably add my own reviews at some point. I usually find them useful, so I guess it's probably going to benefit some readers out there as well.
Enjoy!
